The rounded console is futuristic and modern with an LED/LCD interface that is attractive and colorful. The interface appears very simple and organized so you can get started losing weight as soon as it’s out of the box.

At an extremely affordable price with some of the highest user reviews, the Smooth Fitness 5.65 Treadmill is possibly one of the best models currently on the market. It’s foldable with a smaller frame than many other models to begin with, but the real winning points are its customizable programs and easy to use LCD interface.

Horizon Fitness T101 Treadmill Review
Posted by Baazar on
February 14, 2011
Key Features

*Surround sound speakers with MP3 compatibility
*300-Pound maximum user weight
First Impressions
Right off the bat the T101 is a steal at $599 dollars, cheaper than most of the models we have seen. In addition to that it is a foldable model with a low noise motor. It’s also an award winner with over 70 5-star reviews on Amazon.com. For most homes with space and noise concerns this model is a real winner for it’s main features.
That said, it’s not the prettiest looking model with a rather dull interface and simple color scheme. It also only has 3 workout programs (manual, intervals, weight loss,) so if you’re looking for several varying workouts and and dynamic programs this might not be the model for you.
Horizon Fitness T101 Specs
Here are the specifics of the main features to the 101:
Specifications
- Motor: 2.25 Horsepower
- Speed settings: 0 to 10 MPH (adjustable increments of 0.5 mph)
- Incline: 0 to 10%
- Display: Orange LED windows, LED brickyard, and target/workout LED indicators.
- Belt size: 20″ x 55″
- Foldable design with Horizon’s exclusive FeatherLIGHT lift (hydraulic lifting system)
- PerfectFLEX deck cushioning
- COOLfit workout fan
- Max user weight: 300 pounds
- Warranty: Lifetime frame and motor, 1-year parts and labor
- Product Size: 70.8″ x 33.1″ x 54.6″ ; 169 lbs
Console Features And Workout Options
The T101 has less features then many other treadmills, which may not be an issue for most users. You can set the 3 programs (manual, intervals, weight loss,) to target time, distance or calories with 9 programming options. It also has the standard built in hear rate monitors in the handles. It does have an excellent surround sound speaker system and the COOLfit fan built into the console which can keep your workouts enjoyable.
Conclusion
For the price and flexibility you can’t beat the T101 with it’s foldable hydraulic frame. It’s award winning and very high rated so overall a great buy. But for the pickier buyers it won’t have the features a higher end treadmill will have due to less programs and workout options. It has also received a few complaints from users who had issues constructing it out of the box and some possible electrical issues.
Where To Buy Online?
Amazon is currently pricing the Horizon Fitness T101 at $599. That’s the cheapest and most trusted price I could find online. Since there is construction involved in getting the product to work I recommend going with a seller like Amazon that you can trust so you know there won’t be any issues with the pieces you received.

34+ Customer Reviews
Today we review the 2011 model Sole F80 treadmill and see how it compares to other treadmills in it’s price range.
First Impressions
When walking around the Sole F80 treadmill you just have to admire the modern design. For a treadmill under $1500 it sure does look the part when matched up with other treadmills that are in a higher price bracket.
The 2011 model Sole F80 has a fresh new look with a longer deck and a much better display compared to the 2010 model. The first things I look at when reviewing a treadmill is the design, size and console because first impressions always last. This model ticked all the boxes and I was actually quite impressed but the design is not the only thing I was impressed with.
Sole F80 Specs
Along with a professional and sleek design the new Sole F80 treadmill sure does pack a punch when reading and looking through the functions this treadmill can do. Let’s look at some specs and you will see what I mean.
Specifications:
- Motor: 3.0 horsepower continuous duty, DC type
- Speed: 0.5 to 11 miles per hour
- Incline: 15 percent maximum, rack-and-pinion gear design
- Deck design: Cushion Flex shock absorption, whisper quiet
- Running surface: 20 by 60 inches
- Belt: Double-woven 2 ply
- Rollers: 2-3/4 inches
- Folding: Yes, with Easy Assist folding feature
- Heart rate control: Yes, with wireless chest strap
- Hand pulse grips: Yes, with armrest speed/incline controls
- Display: Backlit blue LCD, 7.5 inches
- Message window: Yes, scrolling info
- Standard programs: 6
- User-defined programs: 2
- Heart rate programs: 2
- Cooling fans: Yes
- Capacity: 350 pounds
- Dimensions: 33 by 80 inches (W x D)
- Weight: 250 pounds
- Warranties: Lifetime on motor, deck, and frame; 5 years on electronics, belt, rollers, and other wear components; 2 years on labor
Console Features And Workout Options
I really like the look of this console compared to the 2010 model. What’s different to the last model you may ask? Well the display screen is a lot bigger and much clearer to view being a 7.5-inch LCD display. This model comes with in-built speakers, which is all cool but in all honestly they are not the best quality speakers in the world( one of the very few bad points I found with the Sole F80 ).
There are two heart rate controlled workout options with this treadmill, and customizing the workout specifically to your needs is a breeze. Throughout the heart rate workouts, it will display a graph for the desired heart rate zone on the screen and will adjust the incline to keep you in your target zone (the treadmill includes a wireless chest strap that touts a 99.9 percent accuracy rating). The remainder of the time, you can challenge yourself with the six automatic programs or two customizable programs.
Conclusion
This really is a great treadmill for any home with very few bad points I can truly say the Sole F80 is a real winner. The price is right and very affordable, you do get what you pay for and with this model I can say you get a little extra bang for your bucks. You just can’t beat the lifetime motor warranty and the 5 year warranty on frame, parts, and even labor.
Where To Buy Online?
There are many trusted websites that you can buy the Sole F80 treadmill and if your looking for a bargain then I recommend checking out the price on amazon. Today being the 17th, February 2011 they hold the lowest price that I could find online being $1,499.99
